Educational Assistant - Special Needs Support

About This Role
We are seeking a compassionate Educational Assistant to support children with special needs in our inclusive programs.
You will work closely with educators, families, and external professionals to ensure every child receives appropriate support.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support for children with identified special needs
- Implement individualized support plans and accommodation strategies
- Assist with daily living skills and adaptive equipment use
- Support social integration and peer interactions
- Collaborate with educators, families, and external therapists
- Document progress and maintain confidential records
- Assist with behavioral support and de-escalation techniques
- Participate in team meetings and professional development
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Educational Assistance, Special Education, or related field
- Experience working with children with diverse abilities
- Understanding of inclusive education principles
- Patience, empathy, and strong advocacy skills
- Knowledge of behavioral support strategies
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Training in specific disabilities or conditions
- Experience with assistive technology
- First Aid/CPR and crisis intervention training
- Additional language skills
