This position requires patience, gentleness, and a deep understanding of infant development and attachment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide responsive, individualized care for infants 6 weeks - 18 months
- Create safe, nurturing environments that support early development
- Implement infant-appropriate learning experiences and sensory activities
- Build strong relationships with infants and their families
- Maintain detailed daily records of feeding, sleeping, and development
- Support attachment and bonding between infants and caregivers
- Collaborate with families on routines and developmental milestones
Required Qualifications
- ECE Diploma with infant specialization preferred
- 2+ years of experience with infants and toddlers
- Understanding of attachment theory and infant development
- Patience, nurturing personality, and attention to detail
- Strong observation and documentation skills
- Current First Aid/CPR and infant CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional training in infant mental health
- Experience with breastfeeding support
- Knowledge of safe sleep practices
- Post-natal care experience
- Additional language skills
