Lead Educator - Toddler Program
Lead our toddler program (18 months - 2.5 years) and mentor assistant educators while implementing our innovative curriculum.
About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Educator to join our Toddler Program at our Etobicoke - Kipling Place location.
As a Lead Educator, you will be responsible for program planning, staff mentoring, and ensuring high-quality care for toddlers during this critical developmental stage.
This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape program delivery and support the professional development of your team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of toddler program educators
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for 18 months - 2.5 years
- Conduct staff evaluations and provide ongoing coaching
- Coordinate with families regarding toddler development and transition planning
- Manage program documentation and assessment processes
- Ensure compliance with licensing standards and CFEL policies
- Facilitate team meetings and professional development sessions
- Support behavioral guidance and social-emotional development
Required Qualifications
- ECE Diploma with specialization in toddler development preferred
- 4+ years of experience in early childhood education
- Minimum 2 years in leadership or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of toddler development milestones
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education
- Additional training in toddler behavior and development
- Experience with curriculum development
- Mentorship or coaching certification
- Bilingual capabilities
