School Age Coordinator
Coordinate before and after school programs for school-aged children (4-12 years) with engaging activities and homework support.
About This Role
Lead our school age program serving children from kindergarten through grade 6 in our before and after school care.
You will coordinate daily activities, homework support, and recreational programs while managing transportation and communication with schools.
This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to engage children across a wide age range.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate before and after school programs for children ages 4-12
- Provide homework support and quiet study spaces
- Plan and implement age-appropriate recreational activities
- Manage transportation coordination with local schools
- Supervise snack time and meal service
- Communicate with families about daily activities and progress
- Coordinate with school staff and teachers as needed
- Ensure safety during outdoor activities and field trips
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with school-aged children
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of elementary school curriculum helpful
- Ability to assist with homework across grade levels
- Excellent communication with children, families, and schools
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- ECE certification or education-related degree
- Experience in before/after school programs
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Additional certifications in recreation or youth programming
- Experience with special needs inclusion
